Alliance AutoGas Earns Multiple Heavy Duty Engine EPA Certifications

Ford F-450 Alliance AutoGas Engineered SystemAlliance Autogas, through their equipment developer Blossman Services, Inc., has gained EPA approval for the two most popular heavy duty spark ignited engine platforms, the 6.8 V10 from Ford and the 6.0 V8 from General Motors. Depending on the engine certification, model year coverage ranges from 2010 up to 2016.

“With the development of these engine platforms we have positioned ourselves to be leaders in the Class 4-7 marketplace,” notes Ed Hoffman, president of Blossman Services. “The 6.8 V10 from Ford and the 6.0 V8 from General Motors are extremely popular engine options for many of our key segments.”

These engines are typically found in work trucks, shuttle buses, school buses, street sweepers, and strip chassis from top manufacturers. Some popular vehicle models these engines are featured in are the Isuzu NPR, Ford F450, F550, F650, GM Express Van, Workhorse, and Freightliner Custom Chassis vehicles.

Hoffman adds, “Conversion costs nearly half the cost of diesel options on these platforms. We deliver reduced fuel costs, simplified maintenance, and a cleaner domestic fuel source than oil burning diesels. Our bi-fuel propane autogas solution can be retrofitted into in use vehicles or converted prior to in-service through our installation network.”

Alliance AutoGas, the largest nationwide network providing EPA-certified Propane Autogas conversion systems to mid and heavy duty fleets in North America, has converted more than 9,400 vehicles to run on cleaner-burning, affordable, domestically-produced propane autogas. In 2015 alone, Alliance members collectively displaced 45 million gallons of gasoline and produced $54 million in fuel cost savings for the 460 fleets they service.
